3 Valleys of Lanark

Trying to make the most of my summer holidays while spending as little money as possible.

I found a description of this walk in a book called “Clydesdale walks” and thought I’d give it a go.

It is called the 3 Valleys as the walk takes you through the Mouse Valley, The Lee Valley and then finally down to the Clyde Valley.

My girlfriend, Lisa, lives in Lanark. So we started at her house and headed off. Starts off the same way the annual Lanark marches starts then quickly verges to the left.

I was rather impressed with some of the views during this walk, and I ended up using path’s and roads that I didn’t even know existed.

It was fairly simple to follow the walk, although we did get a little confused at Nemphlar. There is a field that would have to walk through after Nemphlar, aim for the large tree at the other side of the field, and you should be able to see the style that takes you back onto the Clyde Walkway at Kirkfieldbank.
